I'll start on the back foot: I realized I’m a lousy entrepreneur… on my own.

After three failed solo business ventures in the past, I decided to bring on a business partner in late 2018. Together, we have taken our boot-strapped two-man Boutique Production company to over a 7-digit (in ZAR) turnover, despite the pandemic. This is a testament to the power of teamwork.

What many may not read between the lines of my CV is that my business partner employed me seven years before we started our company. He bought into my big-picture thinking and attention to detail, and put his livelihood in my hands. We both trusted each other to build a company that exceeded our expectations.

We achieved this by focusing on excellence and execution in our product, not perfection, and by maintaining relationships and putting our clients at the heart of what we do. This has resulted in strong accounts, ranging from small to medium businesses to even a Fortune 500 on our books. Most of these have come from referrals and retention.

Unfortunately, due to changes in our future plans, we have amicably decided to end our incredible journey. This has introduced me to the possibility of being part of a team built on trust, commitment, strong values, respect, and a vision that I can grow into.

I believe I can bring many years of creative, customer-facing, and project management skills to your team. I have worked in a variety of industries, and I am very adaptable and always willing to learn and be mentored. I would rather grow into company culture and vision than come in claiming to know everything already.

I am naturally curious, think ahead, come up with solutions, and a life-long learner. I am tech-savvy, and have taught myself to play instruments, shoot and edit productions, and make a mean cup of coffee.

That said, I'm going to go grab one ☕️.

Thank you, Francis.
